Am emphatic No!!!!!!!!
During the reign of King Windows XP which, I think is the longest serving Operating System Laptops and Desktop computers alike did not copy data very fast on some computer this was due to various reasons like USB port speed, Cabling, connectors, cache to mention a few.
However with the present generation of Laptops and Desktop computers today all of these problems
have been adequately dealt with both from the hardware and software perspective. With USB 3.0 ports transferring data at speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s, which is 10 times as fast as USB 2.0 things really don’t get better (although I’m sure at the present rate of data size increase it will).
So please away with those crappy computer software Microsoft is saying on both laptops and desktop computers alike all the features of such software have been custom built into Microsoft’s wonder and most responsive OS yet, all hail the new King; WINDOWS 8
Have a great one people.
